The Christmas shows are fast approaching!

We only have three weeks left at Moss Street Market but keep busy creating products for our Christmas shows.

First up is our Raincoast Soap with goat's milk. It's a custom blend of essential oils that I can't stop sniffing:

Have we been hiding?

Chai Tea essential oil Soap (will be ready mid to end of October)

So it's been awhile since we have posted but we are still here. This summer has been a whirlwind of emotions. Three months ago our neighbours 50,000 litre pool collapsed and fully our fully furnished basement. In case you missed the post it's here. The renovations are still ongoing and our studio has been turned upside down but we still keep creating.

Last week-end we made four batches of beautiful soap and I can't wait to show you the results of these beauties. I don't want to spoil it all in one post so I'll post them here and there to tease you a little bit.

The first one is Chai Tea soap which is a customer favourite for men and woman. It's infused with my custom Chai blend of essential oils. I love a good Chai tea and this combo is a winner. The next two were made a few weeks ago but they are definitely worth showing off. Blackcurrant smells divine with it's sunkissed currant flavour. Last but certainly not least is Banana Cream Pie Glycerin soap. All summer I've been craving a banana scent in a soap and so I just had to create . It smells so yummy like fresh banana pie.

We live for creating and find it's the one thing that has kept our sane through our flood reno's. After all we have to satisfy you urge to Splurge.

Stay tuned for more of our wonderful creations.

Chaos, Weddings and Beauty

This picture signifies the title to me...well, not the wedding part...but beautiful chaos and how it all comes together.

You know I've mentioned before (oh really?:), that our studio is in a million pieces - boxes everywhere and frazzled nerves. Along with the heat wave we're in the midst of, creativity is low. In the midst of all of this...we received a call to make wedding baskets for an upcoming wedding. So we ran around and made heavenly body butters, luscious soy wax candles and a custom made soap to compliment the whole gift. We found natural fibre baskets and have them all wrapped up waiting to go.

All of this made us appreciate the small things in life and the kindness of strangers/friends. So whatever state you find yourself in this week, be thankful.

Blessings,

Thank you to everyone who has stopped by to ask how the flood disaster is coming along (s-l-o-w-l-y), our new soap studio is going to be amazing - but it's a LONG way off and we're getting a little frustrated. Our design space has been relocated to a tiny area with one little table piled HIGH with materials.

But it's not stopping us....no no no. Even though there is a sluggish economy and the tourists aren't flocking like they used to, we're still going strong. And now that we're almost mid-way through the market - we're starting to plan for cooler nights and crisp mornings. We're filling up our sketch books with plans and coming up with some very cool products.

So keep checking in, there is almost always something new at the market each week and keep those cards and letters coming (and we even love the chocolate you've been bringing us - woooohooo!)

Staying Strong,

Splurge Sisters

Soap!

Here's a few new soaps that we've made and simply haven't posted about them yet. Of course you're thinking that's a Licorice Allsort Candy - but no, it's a licorice scented hand soap!

The one with the leaves smells like freshly mowed grass on a warm summer day, where the slightest breeze riffles through the air and reminds you how amazing summer is.

We've got a few more to showcase including banana. That's right...SOMEONE loves banana and simply had to have a soap to match the craving - and I admit, once I smelled it...I was BANANAS over it!

As Soft As A Baby Bumblebee?

It seems a lot of our friends are having babies. So naturally, we realized it was time to bring back our Cocoa Butter Stick. This gem is filled with cocoa butter and natural vitamin E - it's perfect for growing tummies and also for dry skin. Keep a stick handy for all your skin needs this summer - plus the natural scent of cocoa butter will have you smiling as well.
